COMMUNITY - CHARLESTON COTTAGES - > NEXT PROJECT
This was a prototype to house the homeless in Charleston. The program was not only to provide shelter but it was to be assembled using volunteer labor. These units were built for less than $12,000.
These transitional housing units come with social service consulting and have been a successful since 1991, with no residents returning to the homeless shelter.
